Air travel into Toronto
There are two Toronto Airports: Billy Bishop (YTZ) and Pearson (YYZ).

Billy Bishop Airport – the downtown, city airport –

Porter and Air Canada airlines flies into this harbour front airport in the center of the city of Toronto.  We suggest you check: https://www.flyporter.com and compare rates and flight schedules to those in and out of Pearson International.  Often the flights are very competitively priced. If your hotel is near the Friends Meeting House venue, your best bet is a taxi, Lyft or Uber from Billy Bishop to your hotel.  The Friends Meeting House is in midcity Toronto.

There is Free shuttle bus outside the Billy Bishop Terminal, to downtown Union station. Taxis are available outside of Union Station to reach your accommodation, if your accommodation is closer to downtown.

Toronto Pearson International Airport:

Options for travel into the city from Pearson Airport:

This is a new express train service (25 minutes) from Pearson Airport to the Union Station.  ($12.35 one way).  Very comfy – likely the best new way into the city. For more information about how to find the train from the airport to the city, check out: https://www.upexpress.com/  Tickets can also be purchased ahead on line or at a kiosk/machine on the train platform.

Bloor Station is the second stop on the UP Express, and is the station before Union terminal.  You can exit Bloor UP station and walk to the Dundas West TTC station to get to the Friends meeting House and nearby mid-city hotels (Annex and Yorkville neighboourhoods are nearby to Friends Meeting Hoise).  These hotels are listed below.

  • Taxis: Taxis to hotels in Toronto cost between Cdn $45 – $65.00, plus tip, and take about 35 – 45 minutes.

Taxis and limousines are available outside of every terminal at designated stands. The cost is comparable between the taxis and limousines.   Estimate for this trip: @$65 CAD for the ride and takes about 45 minutes. Limousines: Limousines are comfortable sedans, typically black, that operate similarly to taxis, but offer a higher standard of service and newer vehicles. Limousines are available outside of every terminal.

  • Uber or Lyft– You can now use Uber or Lyft from Billy Bishop or Pearson International Airport.  For information for use from Pearson follow this link:

You should be able to use your Uber or Lyft accounts for this purpose.

  • TTC (bus and subway via Pearson airport):  Ground transportation at the airport curb by bus to the Kipling TTC station (look for signs or ask information about the bus to connect with the TTC subway at the Kipling Station). Cost of $3.25 Cdn and you need to have the correct cash or a token to board the bus.  Connecting transit is available then to mid city (the Spadina or the St George station) on the Bloor-Danforth subway line.  TTC Fares, Passes, Ticket Information:
