Description
In October 1987, a number of bridge-builders met in Evanston, Illinois to discuss their values and experiences and to tell stories that reflect these values. This monograph What Are We Learning About Bridge-Building?, seeks to further develop the concept of bridge-building by exploring the implementation of this approach. Many interested people have asked us “how do bridge-builders approach their work?” This document reflects the experiences and practices of a small number of community builders. Their activities illustrate the contrast between the assumptions of bridge-builders and the assumptions of traditional human service workers.
